Because when the matter began to settle, a kind of Pore was created, something like a beginning. So Alkman says the matter of all things was troubled and untrue. Then, Thetis was born in Space, arranging everything. Then Poros was made, a passage, and when this Pore passed, a limit followed, the Tekmor. And the Poros is like a beginning, while the Tekmor is like an end. When Thetis was born, these became the beginning and the end of everything, and all things are of a nature similar to copper, while Thetis with that of the craftsman, and the Poros and Tekmor similar to that of the beginning and the end.

And the third in order darkness, the Skotos, because never before had neither the Sun nor the Moon been created, but the matter was still unformulated. Thus, Poros and Tekmor and Skotos were created. The Day and the Moon, and Skotos. The radiation of the day was not dense but assisted by the Sun, before it was only dark, then it stood out of it.
